9
For their 9 Month Birthday, we took Hayden and Koen to their first reptile show.
Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures, but the boys had lots of fun looking at
all the pretty snakes, lizards, and turtles, and they enjoyed meeting some fellow
reptile lovers.
Later in the day, Koen decided he was a
big boy now and was going to start pulling
himself up to stand like a big boy!
(His crib mattress was lowered that
evening)
Hayden is getting anxious to become more mobile like Koen.  He can cover some
ground really fast by pulling himself on his belly.  He also just started rocking on
all fours, so he is on his way to learning how to crawl.
Some 9 month poses:
The following updates are long overdue (sorry).  Hayden and Koen have been
keeping their mommy very busy this month.  They are enjoying exploring the
world around them (translation: they are getting into everything).  It can be tiring
to keep up with them, but it is worth it, watching them learn and grow!
(yes, I know, just wait until they are running around on two feet!)
The boys enjoyed a visit from their Pops and Grammie Cocanougher.  They have
also enjoyed playing on the adorable puppy blanket that their great-aunt Jan
made for them.  They love all the soft fabrics and the fun fringe!
Papa and Gramma Burleson watched the boys while mommy and daddy went to a
movie. It was Hayden's first time to remain standing (holding onto the exersaucer)
when helped up.  Good thing Gramma had a picture to show us as proof.  The
boys were enjoying their teethers here until Koen discovered the fire truck on
Hayden's outfit.  I guess Hayden didn't want to be disturbed.

Disclaimer:  The following pictures are out of focus.  However, the boys were
being too sweet and cute while eating some snacks, I just had to include the pics.
Toward the end of the month, we had our first sick baby.  Hayden had a stomach
virus and hardly ate for 5 days.  Now, for the first time since they were born, Koen
weighs more.  Poor Hayden!  He didn't let a little virus keep him down though.  While
sick, Hayden decided he really wanted to see his daddy one evening so he pulled
himself up to stand for the first time.  (He loves his daddy!)
Koen, on the other hand, has become somewhat attached to his mommy.  He
requires a lot of snuggle time, especially in the evenings.  Although it makes it difficult
to get things done, I'm not complaining.  I cherish every moment with my
snuggle-bear, realizing that this phase won't last forever.

Hayden and Koen both love their dog!  Occasionally Khira will retreat to the other
room, but she is usually very patient and tolerant with them climbing all over her.
She is a great dog.
